Your Start to Tailoring
To start off, you need a tailoring kit. (Which is equipped like a weapon.) Along with a tailoring kit, in your left hand you also need to buy a clothing print, which specifies the type of clothing your going to make and how many times you can make it before the print is useless. Depending on the rank of the clothes, the print sells for more, however the tailoring kit always sells for 200. Each print starts off with 30 uses, which means you are allowed to tailor the clothing up to 30 times before you need to buy a new print.
Once you collect the materials allowed to make it, you use the tailoring skill, which then a window will appear. Dragging the materials to the slots, you then press finish and your character will start making the clothing. Depending on your rank in tailoring, your success rate will change. Your rank also raises the more clothing you make. If it fails, that material is wasted, it is also possible to make a incomplete clothing (Which could be as 60% complete for instance.) after tailoring clothing. This means that you mostly failed, however, when the materials are used again, your success rate will be higher to finish the clothing.
If you happen to succeed however, you will only be 99.9% complete with the item. That is when you must use finishing string to complete the process, depending on the rank of the clothing, the string will have to be higher quality as well. However the cheapest goes for around 50 gold. Once you click tailor agian and add on the finishing string, a window will appear. Your mouse cursor will turn onto a pin needle, and a little screen that looks like a layer of cloth will appear. There it will tell you to click certain places, and then drag it to certain finishing areas in order to string the clothing together, which you must do within a certain time limit. Once complete, the clothing will be all finished, and you will be done!
The clothing will always have a random color palette when complete, so it is very hard to create two alike clothes. Another note, as the clothes become higher rank, sometimes it is impossible to get 99.9% complete the first time. Therefore you need to keep adding the materials till you reach 99.9. However, as a benefit, these clothing reap much more benefits and sell for more.
When your all done, and have your clothing, you can wear it for yourself. Or! you could sell it. Selling clothing to NPC’s is very non-beneficial, as you may gain a small profit, but in the end you’ll lose money for the times you fail and all the materials needed to collect (Lets not forget Tailoring kits and Prints run out of uses eventually.) This game instead encourages a player market, where the clothings actually sell quite well, and a profit can be achieved easily. Now I bet your thinking, Why can’t they just buy the clothing from the store themselves? Well, not only can you sell for cheaper than the NPC’s and make a profit, but a lot of the clothing that you can create is not sold by the NPC’s at all! How is that for exclusive?
If there is more anyone would like to add about Tailoring. This would be the place to put it!
I can add more to this post Later.
